Singer Amy Winehouse has been included in this year's Sunday Times young music rich list for the first time with an estimated fortune of £10m.

The 24-year-old star ranks 10th, along with R&B star Craig David and pop star Will Young, in Britain's top 100 richest people in music under 30.

Charlotte Church, 22, is ninth with a fortune of £11m shared with rugby star Gavin Henson. Joss Stone is eighth.

George Harrison's son Dhani Harrison tops the list with a £160m fortune.

The 29-year-old musician is the only son of the former Beatle, and finished Harrison's last album after he died in 2001.

Doubled wealth

In second place is violinist Vanessa-Mae Nicholson, 29, followed by Coldplay trio Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland and Will Champion, with an estimated £30m each in the bank.

Lead singer Chris Martin, 31, was too old to be included in the newspaper's survey.

The highest new entry is Manchester-born fashion model Karen Elson, whose entry in sixth is because the 29-year-old shares her £25m fortune with White Stripes frontman husband Jack White.

Katie Melua, 23, has reportedly more than doubled her wealth to £18m taking seventh place.

In 13th place was Welsh soprano Katherine Jenkins, 27, followed by 23-year-old X Factor chart-topper Leona Lewis, who makes her debut in the list at number 14 with £6m.

Corinne Bailey Rae, whose husband died from a suspected drugs overdose last month, and Natasha Bedingfield are also worth £6m, the newspaper says.

Former Blue star Simon Webbe and jazz musician Jamie Cullum have also been included in the list.
