Samsung CLP-550 with full toners?

I found an old message on Google from this newsgroup, where someone
claimed Samsung CLP-550 comes shipped with full toner cartridges in
Germany. Can someone confirm this? I asked the company that imports them
to Finland and they claimed the toners are "starters". If they really
are full in German versions, I could order them from a web store and
still save a lot of money.

It is a fact! I just confirmed it with the sales chief of Samsung of
Scandinavia. At least this is the case with UK, German and Scandinavian
"versions" of the printer. It's best to confirm with the Samsung sales
chief's if you're from another country, since I got a misinformed answer
from Samsung help desk. The salesperson in a computer store also claimed
the 550 has starter toners. I was told that this is due to a mistake
in the release of the iniitial model spec sheet.


If you're looking to buy Samsung CLP, getting the 550 will save you a
lot of money although the price is a little higher than that of the 500
model.
